We received a communication from Impact Church in Menifee that they want to do some significant community service in Quail Valley to help make a difference in our community.

Rather than re-invent the wording, I'm going to just include their words for you to consider.

Message from Impact Church:

🏠 DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO COULD USE A HELPING HAND?

Impact Church’s B.I.G. Serve is coming, and we’re looking for opportunities to roll up our sleeves, step outside the walls of the church, and BE the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.

We are currently accepting nominations for exterior home projects that can make a meaningful difference for someone who could use a little extra help.

🔨 Projects may include:

• Yard and general property cleanup
• Mowing, w**d removal, trimming, and pruning
• Brush and debris removal
• Exterior pressure washing and cleaning
• Minor exterior painting and touch-ups
• Fence or gate cleanup and minor repairs
• Basic exterior safety improvements
• Removal of unwanted outdoor items or debris
• Other minor exterior projects that can reasonably be completed by a volunteer team

❤️ Priority will be given to widows, seniors, single parents, veterans, and homeowners experiencing financial hardship or circumstances that make maintaining their property difficult.

Because every project requires the right volunteers, materials, time, and resources, submitting a nomination does not guarantee that a project will be selected. Our team will prayerfully review each request and serve as many families as our available resources allow.

And thank you, Quail Valley residents, for giving consideration of your friends and neighbors in Quail Valley and taking action to nominate them -- and possibly gifting them the opportunity -- to receive this generous help that's being offered.

It should be noted that cleaning up an empty lot is not typically a feasible project for Impact Church to consider because most empty lots are private property, and people cannot simply go onto private property without the owners' permission. If you happen to have an empty-lot owner's contact information, and if the owner falls into one of the categories of people that Impact Church has stated they are giving priority to, then that may be a legitimate project consideration to submit.

*** Come and Meet the Candidates for Menifee"District 2" Councilmember!! ***
CANDIDATES PUBLIC FORUM THIS TUESDAY!! > 7pm, at the Quail Valley Moose Lodge {28428 Goetz Rd}.

=> There are three candidates in the upcoming November election to be our district's (i.e., District 2) City Councilmember for the next 4-year term: Incumbent Ben Diederich, .. Laz Peterson, .. and Thomas Fuhrman.

They will all be at our upcoming public meeting to introduce themselves, .. to give a statement about why they're running, .. and to answer any questions that you may have for them!

Come with your questions and comments .. or just come to hear and learn how each candidate intends to represent and advocate for our district in the Menifee city council meetings.

We're bringing the candidates to you! So take advantage of this opportunity to care about our district and to be a responsible voter by learning about and comparing each candidate before casting your vote!

WHAT'S THAT, YOU SAY?? You just started your 2-week vacation in Europe? Well, that's no excuse. My suggestion would be to call the airlines, right now, to make sure there's an available flight home by Tuesday morning! That way, you can be back home .. have a quick lunch, .. take a short nap, .. and be refreshed for this important meeting.
. And, of course, we'll also have our regular informative speakers from:
- Menifee Community Services ( Informing us about upcoming Fall City Events & Programs ),
- Menifee Code Enforcement ( Informing us of significant cases accomplished and cases in progress ), .. and
- Menifee Police Dept. will be attending with a report on service calls for last month.

Additionally, EMWD will provide a quick update regarding the Quail Valley sewering project and will have copies of the Commitment Letter for residents of Subarea 4 to sign to show their interest in receiving a free sewer hookup when the sewer is installed on their street.

The meetings are typically only about an hour long. This coming Tuesday's meeting, though, may go a little longer depending on attendee's participation.

As always, the public is welcome and is encouraged to attend; We'd be happy to have your presence and support.

This is an EARLY NOTICE .. to get the word out about our public "Meet the 'District 2' Councilman Candidates" meeting, coming up on Tuesday, September 8th [ 7pm ] .. at the Moose Lodge in Quail Valley {28428 Goetz Rd}.

Usually, I don't send out notices about our quarterly public meetings until the weekend before our meeting, but this is a special meeting that happens only every four years and which concerns -- not only Quail Valley, but -- everyone who lives in Menifee District 2.

I'm including a map of District 2, so you can see how much of Menifee it covers.

The position for our District 2 Councilman is expiring, and there are three contenders for the position in this November's election: Incumbent Ben Diederich, .. Laz Peterson, .. and Thomas Fuhrman.

Even if you've never come to a Quail Valley public meeting before, please consider marking this one on your calendar [ .. with a BIG, RED pen! .. ], and then come with your questions and comments .. or just come to hear and learn how each candidate intends to represent and advocate for our district in the Menifee city council meetings. Why The Goetz Rd Sewer Pipe Installation Matters:
The Goetz Road Sewer Project is part of the foundation of the larger Quail Valley Sewer Improvement Project. This work is critical to bringing future sewer infrastructure into Quail Valley and is necessary before future phases can move forward.

The Goetz Road Sewer Project is anticipated to be completed in Summer 2027.

Quail Valley Sewer Improvement Project - Community Participation is Required to Move Forward:
We are collecting Commitment Letters from property owners in Subarea 4 to support the upcoming Fall 2026 grant application. These letters do not commit property owners to any cost or construction timeline. They simply help show funding agencies that there is community support for the project.
