We are unable to take in animals right now, but we get emails every day from people needing to surrender their pets.

Each year, we post safety tips for 4th of July since it's the day most pets are lost!

As a reminder, keep your pets inside (do not bring them to any fireworks show)! Close all gates, windows and doors. Play music or turn the TV volume up to help drown out the booming sounds. And, make sure your pet is wearing an identification tag as well as microchipped in the event that they do get out!

Animal Friends of the Valleys is giving out FREE microchips this week and there's still time to get one before the holiday! No appt necessary, just walk in!

Tito tries really hard to get everyone to play with him (and they usually do)! He has made friends with all of our dogs and even wrestles with the big kids. Still, he keeps his distance from humans, but he will run in and nibble a toe from time to time!

💙 AVAILABLE TO ADOPT! 💙

We thought we had a home lined up for Benny but it didn't work out so he is back on the market!

Benny is an active youngster ready to go have some fun! He can be a little shy meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and gets along with everyone. He loves to play with toys and other dogs! He is more submissive with our other pups.

Benny is still learning, but he is mostly housebroken. He is leash trained and does well in a car.

Benny is approx 9 mo old, 17lbs, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He is healthy, happy and ready to move in today!

We don't know how we still have this cute boy but, just like in the shelter, Arlo constantly gets overlooked! No one sees how amazing he is!

Arlo is sweet and friendly. He loves to play-- he enjoys toys and wrestles with his dog pals! He gets along with cats, dogs and kids! He is also young and healthy! Arlo is very smart. AND, he is already housebroken, crate trained, loves car rides and walks well on a leash! He isn't a big dog that will knock you over and he isn't a fragile, small dog (he's just 25lbs!)

Arlo would make a great family pet and would enjoy going on adventures with you. He would love a dog pal in his next home or the opportunity to visit dog beach or the dog park.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Spring Cleaning Fundraiser! We had two very full vehicles to deliver to Savers in Murrieta!

The money we raised has already been used to cover part of our last vet bill!

Penny is enjoying her new home!

Penny spends her day relaxing next to her mom and, since she's the only pup, she gets all the attention! At night, Penny curls up in bed with her mom and even goes under the blankets to snuggle close to her! She likes to sleep in and is the last one out of bed every day 😆

Penny is learning how to walk better on a leash and then they will explore the neighborhood together and get into shape!

Her mom feels so lucky to have her and says, "She was meant to be mine!! She's perfect."

Charlie's an old man now and his face has gotten so gray! 😭 But, he just had his annual exam and is doing very well! He still loves to play, swim at the beach and chew his bones every day!

We are hoping for many more years with this amazing boy!

Our beautiful Calico girl has found her family!

Her new name is Pumpkin and she is loving life with her parents and big brother, Milo. Usually kitties take time to warm up to each other, but Milo was the most welcoming, sweet little soul. In no time, they were chasing each other around the apartment! When they aren't playing, Pumpkin is cuddling with her mom, snuggling up in bed, or spending her time hanging out on the cat tree, watching the birds outside. Eventually, their parents plan to harness train her so they all can go for walks and explore outside also!

We are so happy for Pumpkin and a future full of love and adventure!
