Recently The Duck Sanctuary relocated to a new property and we spent the day cleaning and clearing the land where the females would be kept.
It was important to clear out the onions and tomatoes that had previously been growing because they are poisonous for the ducks.

We also built fencing and laid straw to prepare the ducks home for the incoming storm.

Take a look at all the friendly llamas and sheep that will now be living with the ducks.

We are so glad Howie and the ducks found a home. We can't wait to visit and see these ducks in happy spirits!

We did a pumpkin drive, and collected pumpkins from all over town and all the pumpkins patches locally.

Pumpkins provide necessary Vitamin K for the ducks diet, and lower their risks of eye infections!

We are Cadette Girl Scouts, and this is a part of our Silver Award Project. We want to invite all of you who are visiting, to visit our website, take a look at the attached Powerpoint and take our quiz about what you have learned about domesticated ducks. We also, will provide patches to troops and other Girl Scouts that want them, and complete the necessary quiz. Patches will be $1.00 a patch plus shipping costs, simply to cover production prices.
