Poetic Forest

Poetic Forest The Poetic Forest is a place for people to share their thoughts and learn from one another. It is a place where art and science collide. It is a real place.

"I have a dream called The Ivory Tower. It's a place where people can meet, a place free from the hierarchy and constraints of our current culture's social structure, a place where logic and reason and passion collide into unexplored dimensions. The Ivory Tower is a real place; it can be. It is a place of true high ideals; it is a tower in a valley that has been layed on its side, it is a conglome

ration of spheres with no need for walls, it is open to the sky, Within its walls you will find the seekers of truth, the joyful, and the lost. Its walls are lined with books and children's art. A man plays his guitar here as the sun peaks through the pines from a distant mountaintop, a child is seen rolling a ball across the carpet where it bounces from her mother's toes. She is sipping on a steaming cup of coffee as she reads a book on the feminine divine. In the afternoon college students roll in and sit at a crescent shaped table studying art and math, entomology and astronomy, anthropology and law. In the evenings it seems that people assemble at random with their instruments of conversation, and the tunes send waves through the soft lights hanging above. As the night travels on they all share thoughts and contemplate and laugh with one another. And the chatter divine increases till the strike of midnight. And God smiles a tear, nearly weeping with the joy he feels: for all the sounds and emotions and principles he has witnessed in the course of the day came together as if to experience a symphony in a single moment, a climatic explosion of the present in eternity. And God rejoices, knowing that the next day is at the threshold of the present. And once again we will fill him with the breath of life. I have a dream called The Ivory Tower. It is a place where God can live."
