The Thank Dank Memorial 5k

The Thank Dank Memorial 5k This 5k run/walk, at the beautiful Lake Kakusha property. The course is a fast, flat trail run that circles the lake. Race will be held rain, mud, or shine.

The Thank Dank Memorial 5k was started in 2010 in memory of James Dankenbring to provide a scholarship to a deserving student of Mendota High School each year, keeping his "pay it forward" attitude alive. The property is well maintained, established grass trails through wooded and prairie lots. The course will be well marked and equipped with a water station at miles 1 & 2. The Fun Walk is a flat

1 mile walk around Lake Mendota, better suited for strollers/wagons. The Fun Walk is free for children 10 and under. T-shirts can be ordered for $10 (order must be in 2 weeks prior to race).

The Usborne Books & More Cards for a Cause delivery has arrived! The card boxes will be available for pickup with your race packets on Saturday May 4th at the United Methodist Church in Mendota from 1 to 3. If you are unable to pick it up at that time, leave a message here and I can schedule a delivery to get those to you!! Thank you so much for your participation in this fundraiser for our final Thank Dank. We are blessed with a wonderfully supportive community, family and friends!
