🚜🔥 Harvest Season Fire Safety 🔥🚜

As fields dry out, the risk of fire increases. Protect your equipment, your crop, and yourself by following these safety tips:

Machine Maintenance & Prevention
✅ Blow off chaff, leaves & debris daily to reduce fuel buildup
✅ Lubricate bearings & chains to prevent overheating
✅ Inspect wiring & connections for damage
✅ Check tires for cracks or wear

On-Field Safety
🔥 Carry at least two fire extinguishers—one in the cab & one accessible from the ground
📞 Have a plan to call 911 immediately if a fire starts—don’t delay
🚜 Keep a tractor with a disk in a safe location, ready to help stop a spreading fire

❤️🎄MFD is Keeping the Wreath Red this Holiday Season! 🎄 ❤️

The “Keep the Wreath Red” program serves as a reminder to stay vigilant about fire safety throughout the holidays and to raise awareness about seasonal fire risks.

Dec 1st through Jan 2nd the wreath is lit with red bulbs, and for every fire related to holiday decorations reported, one bulb turns white. Let’s work together to keep the wreath red by practicing fire safety at home and in our community. Your actions can make a real difference in preventing fires and keeping our loved ones safe.

Take extra precautions this season, and remember; safety starts with you!

And thank you to Ekana nursery for once again donating a wreath this year!
