Inside the Di**le Peninsula, beginning in the town of Di**le, is Slea Head Drive. The drive includes breathtaking cliffs, beautiful beaches, and charming villages with cozy pubs and will take anywhere from 3-5 hours (depending upon the number of stops). One wouldn’t dream of driving this counter clockwise with the amount of tour buses and drivers following a clockwise route.

Kinsale is also known as the Gourmet Capital and is one of Ireland’s most picturesque, fashionable, and popular towns. Don't dream of leaving Ireland without a trip through County Cork.

When you dream of May flowers brought on by those April showers, Wicklow is the place to visit. This is where you will find the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, Wicklow. This is a perfect region for the gardens due to the mild climate, along with higher rainfall and the deep, acidic soil. Entry is free so you can see an important collection of plant species and pollinators from all over the world.

You might already know that Memorial Day was initially created to honor the graves of soldiers who died during the Civil War. But were you aware that tens of thousands of Irish Americans served in the Civil War, predominantly on the side of the Union, and that Irish Americans have served in the United States military since the Revolutionary War up to today? Whether you are honoring this day through patriotic events or grilling with friends and family, we hope you take a moment to think of these Irish Americans and other soldiers who gave their lives serving the United States.

May is often dryer than other times of the year, is less crowded than the summer months, and offers longer daylight hours. This makes it the perfect time to explore West Port, County Mayo on foot. Here you can walk the paved trail from West Port to Achill Island (called the Great Western Greenway) or if you are dreaming of something a bit more challenging, one can hike Croagh Patrick, a renowned pilgrimage site known as Ireland's Holy Mountain .
