Our STARS, Living Well’s self-advocacy group, hosted a spooktacular Halloween celebration, bringing together people from several Living Well homes for an afternoon filled with fun, friendship, and community connection. STARS provides opportunities for self-advocacy, social engagement, and building meaningful relationships with peers across Living Well.

Guests arrived dressed in creative costumes, showing off everything from spooky and silly to imaginative and colorful looks. The event was full of laughter as friends reconnected, met new people, and enjoyed celebrating together.

A highlight of the afternoon was the food, with everyone enjoying pizza, chocolate cake, and lots of games and crafts, too! The gathering offered a chance for people from different homes to spend time together, strengthen friendships, and create new memories.

Events like this are at the heart of STARS, helping foster social connections while creating a welcoming space where everyone can have fun, feel included, and be themselves. A special thank you to everyone who helped make this Halloween celebration such a wonderful success, including our fun volunteers Union 32 Craft House for generously donating the pizza.

What does it take to be a true team player?

For Aaron Oden and Tom Mohrland, it’s 35 years of showing up for one another—and for the people they support at Living Well’s Kennelly House.

Their story started on opposite sides of the football field. Today, Aaron and Tom work side by side, caring for people who have become like family.

Through decades of changes, challenges, celebrations and loss, they’ve continued to tackle it all together—with grit, empathy and, above all, respect.

Some teams are built on a field. The best ones are built to last. ❤️

Celebrating 915 Years of Service! 🎉

At Living Well Disability Services, our mission comes to life through the extraordinary people who build relationships, foster belonging, and support people in living rich, meaningful lives.

This year, we celebrated 55 employees marking milestone anniversaries—from 5 to an incredible 45 years of service—representing 915 combined years of dedication.

These milestones represent so much more than time. They reflect compassion, relationships, experience, and an unwavering commitment to the people we support, their families, and our community.

We also celebrated staff whose dedication goes above and beyond, including Zebedee Dolo, recognized with an American Red Cross Lifesaving Award, and Nadia Gatiglo, named a 2026 ARRM Cares Award winner.

To every honoree: thank you for the difference you make every day. We are grateful for the legacy you continue to build at Living Well. 💙
