Student Volunteers Make a Meaningful Difference

As students return to classrooms this fall, Living Well is excited to welcome another year of student volunteers who help strengthen connections, create opportunities, and enrich the lives of the people we support.

Each year, students from partner high schools, colleges, and universities across Minnesota share their time, talents, and energy through volunteer service with Living Well. Whether participating individually, with a friend, in small groups, or as part of an entire class, student volunteers make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable real-world experience and building lasting relationships.

At home, he actively engages with them and treats them as individuals first, rather than focusing on disabilities. He builds meaningful relationships and interacts with them as friends, helping them feel respected, heard, and valued.

Know a high school or college student looking for meaningful work? Tell them to apply today. We hire Youth DSPs at 16, and have 36 homes in the metro.

Students working in the summer may find themselves babysitting, lifeguarding, making coffee drinks or mowing the neighborhood's lawns. Three Edina grads found summer jobs that became an opportunity to build
