Your warm welcome, attention to detail, and commitment to service created a memorable evening celebrating the dedicated Lions who will lead your club in the coming year. Events such as this remind us that Lions are more than volunteers—we are a family united by friendship, fellowship, and a shared commitment to serving our communities.

Congratulations to all newly installed officers. We appreciate your willingness to step forward and lead, and we wish you a successful year filled with service, growth, and accomplishment.

Great day at the ballpark. Our thanks to the Worcester Red Sox and the 150 Lions, family members, and friends for coming out to the game and supporting the District 33A Sight & Hearing Fund. Together we raised $725 dollars and rooted on our "Woo Sox" to a great win. This ceremonial first pitch baseball did make it over the plate. Big thanks to PDG Dick Ferrucci and the Woo Sox organization for another great year of Lion's Day at the Ballpark!

Rite of Passage: These Lion's cufflinks have a long and historied legacy of leadership and have been passed along to me.

They were owned by International President, Justice Brian Stevenson (1987) and given to International Director, Joseph J. Camarda (1982-84) who presented them to District Governor, Richard "Dick" Ferrucci (1999-2000) with the promise to pass them down to future Lions' leaders. After many years of safe keeping, now Past District Governor Dick passed them down to District Governor Curt Jameson (2023-2024), who in turn, passed them down to District Governor Andrew Keane (2025-2026), who passed them down to me on March 29, 2026.

Joe Camarda passed away on February 12, 2005, and we just lost Justice Brian Stevenson on February 16th of this year.

Their legacy and stunning design is truly a one of a kind. I am honored to be in possession of these historied cufflinks until it's my turn to continue the Rite of Passage.

I am deeply humbled and incredibly grateful to receive the International President’s Certificate of Appreciation.

To be recognized by our International President — representing more than 1.39 million Lions across the globe — is truly overwhelming. But I accept this honor knowing that it does not belong to me alone.

This certificate represents every handshake at a service project.
Every early morning setup and late-night cleanup.
Every meeting, every phone call, every “yes, I’ll help.”

Because that is what Lions do.

We serve.

Service is not about recognition — it is about responsibility. It is about seeing a need and stepping forward. It is about leadership not as a title, but as an action.

I have been blessed to serve alongside extraordinary Lions here in District 33A and throughout our association. You have inspired me, challenged me, and supported me. You make service meaningful. You make leadership possible.

If there is one thing I believe deeply, it is this:
Leadership in Lions is not about standing in front — it is about standing with.

With our clubs.
With our communities.
With each other.

This Certificate of Appreciation is a reminder that when we lead with heart, when we serve with humility, and when we work together, we make a difference far greater than ourselves.

Thank you to District Governor Andrew Keane and our District Leadership for your continued support and for this great recognition.
