On behalf of the Mendon Lions Club, we extend our deepest gratitude to the Lions throughout Massachusetts for the tremendous outpouring of love, prayers, condolences, and support following the passing of our dear friend and fellow Lion, Robert “Bob” Grover, Jr.

Your kindness has meant so much to Bob’s family and to all of us in Mendon. The calls, messages, attendance, and countless expressions of sympathy are a powerful reminder that Lionism is more than service—it is family.

Bob dedicated so much of himself to serving others, and it is fitting that the Lions family he loved has surrounded his family and fellow Lions with that same spirit of compassion and fellowship.

To our Lions family across Massachusetts, thank you for standing with the Grover family and the Mendon Lions during this difficult time.

We will miss Bob greatly, but his friendship, service, and Lion spirit will remain with us always.

Together in service. Together in friendship. Together as Lions.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Lion Robert “Bob” Grover, a dedicated member of the Mendon Lions Club for over 35 years, and Vice President of the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund (MLERF).

Bob truly embodied what it means to be a Lion. His commitment to service, his leadership, and his dedication to supporting eye research and helping others touched countless lives throughout our community and across Massachusetts Lions.

More importantly, Bob was a friend and fellow Lion whose presence, kindness, and commitment to our mission will be deeply missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bob’s wife Barbara, their family, friends, fellow Mendon Lions, and the entire MLERF family during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Lion Bob. Your service made a difference, your friendship enriched our lives, and your legacy will continue through all those you inspired.

The Founder's Park Marquee Crown has been rebuilt and installed. The landscaping project will continue through the fall. Our thanks to the herculean efforts of the Mendon Highway Dept., Parks Dept., and the incredible talent of our Past President Tony. The Mendon Lions would like to extend their sincere gratitude to everyone involved in this project.

The Founders Park Marquee has been undergoing some renovations these past few months. The crown is being replaced with a new one and the landscape is being transformed for future plantings. Many thanks to all who made this transformation a reality. More work is still to be done.
