A day of service.

Yesterday, members of the Mendon Lions Club and BVT Leos, joined volunteers from across Central Massachusetts to package over 13000 meals to help fight food insecurity in our communities. This service project was part of Lions Club International’s Global Week of Service to Fight Hunger. Working with End Hunger New England and the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, these packaged meals will find their way to community food pantry's, families in need, and food distribution agencies. Our thanks to everyone who came out to support this service project.

Members of the Mendon Lions Club will participate in a district wide service project to build over 10,000 meal kits to help supply local food pantries, church groups, youth programs, senior centers, and more. Some of these meals are designated for our own food pantry at the Mendon Senior Center.
