Familia Maury – Tough as Nails!

Familia Maury is a single mother and her son living in Venezuela. Much of Maury’s immediate family has left Venezuela in an effort to find work and feed their families outside of the country. Familia Maury has decided to stay in Venezuela and work hard to overcome the challenges that the Venezuelan people face.
When many are at a loss of what to do, or how to feed their families, Familia Maury decided to ... (Continue Reading)

Sowing a Future of Faith - An Awesome Story

“The earth is full and there is plenty of it” this is one of the scriptures that makes us appreciate all that God has left us to progress in this time and I think it is propitious to tell the story of the faith of brother Alexis Bastidas. A Venezuelan who has a fervent love for fieldwork and planting.

Brother Batidas was blessed with his own land that has been the means of producing his food. His family... (Continue Reading)

Resilience in times of crisis

Many words are needed to describe a Venezuelan, but without a doubt one of them is resilience because living in a country that has gone through various stages of economic crisis is a great challenge. It is enough to look at the impact that this situation has caused in many families, to know that the change has been abrupt and that behind each face there is a story to tell.

Today I am pleased to write about the history of the Gonzáles family, two Venezuelans who have managed to overcome the crisis despite difficulties and mistakes.

Testing makes us stronger

In a country where there are few opportunities for advancement, many have developed skills they never imagined having. This is what happened with this family that day-by-day struggles to get ahead with the best attitude. Even coping with the fact of radically changing your situation of stability and comfort.

We received our award

It is inspiring to know the history of so many Venezuelans who face the most difficult situations every day. From my perspective, they are the most resilient beings in the world, because they know how to cross the most tortuous paths and keep their faith intact.

That has a lot to do with the presence of the Savior in their lives and their eternal commitment to follow Him. I particularly think that Jesus Christ occupies a fundamental place in the faith of Venezuelans, for that reason they have managed to get ahead despite the tragedies that have plagued them for many years.

I love the story of the Díaz family, a loving father who after losing his job has developed many skills that he never thought he would have, but he assures that it is all due to the importance of Jesus Christ in his life.

After losing their jobs, the Díaz family began to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to move forward and not fall prey to uncertainty continue reading here

How My Family Got More Optimistic Amid Challenges

t is not easy to remain optimistic in a country that has been in a devastating crisis for more than 15 years. Anyone who hears this situation and is outside of Venezuela may seem a bit exaggerated, but the reality is more moving than you think.

Trying to understand this situation from the outside is impossible, only Venezuelans know that the daily struggle, from the most tender dawn to the darkest hours of the morning, determines our existence.

Many families struggle to survive and remain optimistic in the midst of all the challenges that are beyond our control. We are subject to situations that we cannot control, we are easy prey to despair that at any moment can make us succumb. It is true that many families are determined to continue fighting in this country, even with all the calamities that await them. But it is impressive to see his optimism and confidence.

They would never have thought that life was going to take such a radical turn, until they had to go into a hole 8 meters deep for more than 12 hours in search of what would be their chance to survive. Yes! It was totally changing her routine and sacrificing a lot to get food to her table.

The school a refuge of faith

Teaching is a wonderful gift that many people have and in Venezuela, there are many teachers who continue to do their best to train future leaders.

Some teachers have the dream of doing something more for our country from the classroom. This is the case of Sister María Caraballo, a teacher who despite so many difficulties has persevered through the years, providing quality education to those in her care.

Sister María is a true example of optimism. Adversity has shown her that she can become a better version of herself. Service to children is the reason that has led her to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. continue reading here. https://operationfamilyfreedom.org/faith/
