Please don’t forget that we will be meeting at the vfw tonight from 6-7 to collect camp card money, left over unsold camp cards and next years dues!!! We look forward to seeing everyone!!!

We hope everyone is doing good during these crazy times. We miss our scouts sooooo much!

We have a few announcements we want to make:

1. We are diligently working to find a safe way for us to be able to meet again.

2. If we are not having a meeting please plan on meeting our leaders in the parking lot of the VFW on Thursday June 18th to turn in camp card and/or money raised from camp cards.

3. Next years dues are also due on Thursday June 18th as well. The dues will be as follows for the 2020-2021 year:
Scouts- $104
Adult Leaders- $72

Hey Scouts and Parents! We hope every one is doing well and surviving this pandemic we are dealing with at this time.

We have a few things we wanted to go over with you guys!!!!
1️⃣ There will be no meeting tomorrow.... we really hope to be meeting soon.
2️⃣ Summer camp has been cancelled BUT we are planning a pack camping trip for this summer so the money from camp card sales will go towards that and we promise it will be fun!!!
3️⃣ We are still planning our Blue and Gold Ceremony for the scouts as well as our Summer Expo and Raingutter Regatta these will all take place {hopefully} between May-July.
4️⃣ Please be watching for a post here in the next week discussing fees and dues for next year.

We miss each and every one of you and hope we get to see you all very soon.

Scouts, Scout Leaders, and Scout Parents,

We all pray that this message finds each of you both healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are always humbled by your choice to make Hood Scout Reservation your choice for your Summer Camp experience, and this year has been no difference as over 1,200 Scouts and Scout Leaders were scheduled to be at Mississippi’s Camp.

Upon review of current the COVID-19 information from the CDC, FEMA, and the Mississippi Board of Health; and based on the advice and guidance from the Andrew Jackson Council (AJC) Health Officer, Dr. Steve Zachow, the AJC Risk Management Committee, and the AJC Outdoor Program Committee; Hood Scout Reservation Summer Camp 2020 has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience or negative emotions this may cause, but we value the health and safety of every Scout, Scout leader, Scout Parent, and HSR Staff, and we could not guarantee that result.

If the troop you work with has paid any fees for HSR Summer Camp, you have 2 choices: 1.) you may request a full refund, or 2.) you may request that your deposit and | or fees be rolled over to 2021 HSR Summer Camp.

Keep your eyes open for an opportunity to participate in the 1st Annual HSR “Virtual” Summer Camp to be planned and implemented by members of the HSR Summer Camp Staff, Various Outdoor Program Committees, and Various Scouts BSA Troops from across the Southeast United States!

During this time between now and 2021 HSR Summer Camp, the Andrew Jackson Council will dedicate itself to increasing quality program | facilities and keeping Hood Scout Reservation one of the “Top 10 Scouts BSA Camps” in America. To keep Scouts, Scout Leaders, and Scout Parents informed connect with Hood Scout Reservation, BSA and Andrew Jackson Council, BSA on HSR Facebook, HSR Instagram, HSR Twitter, or HSR Website.

Don’t forget that Hood Scout Reservation will be open Fall 2020 for Scouts BSA Hullabaloo in September and Winter Camp in November. Come a join us for a great camping experience!

First off we want everyone to know how much we miss seeing all of our scouts and their families!!!
We hope everyone is doing well and staying safe and healthy during this time.
If any of you need ANYTHING please don’t hesitate to let us know we are family here at Pack 81 and will do our best to meet any needs y’all might have.

And we have just a couple of announcements....
1️⃣ We are aiming for our next meeting to be April 23rd (we will let you know if that date changes)
2️⃣ Camp Card money will be due on May 22nd BUT no later than May 29th.

TONIGHT is our pack pinewood derby race and we are sooooo excited!!!
This is always one of the most fun events for the scouts so please make sure you don’t miss it!!!
Bring your cars and be at the vfw at 6pm!!!
