•Last minute Mother’s Day craft•
Come on in we have lots of crafting supplies for all you crafters.
A beautiful, slow-moving decorative jar that feels peaceful and looks like flowers frozen in time.
Materials:
Clear glass mason jar with lid
Clear school glue (large bottle)
Water
White decorative pebbles
Small silk flowers (roses, lavender, etc.)
Tweezers (optional, for placing flowers neatly)
Instructions:
1. Create the base
Pour a layer of white pebbles into the bottom of the jar (about 1 inch thick). This gives the jar a clean, stable foundation.
2. Mix the liquid
In a separate container, mix clear glue with water (about 2 parts glue to 1 part water). Stir slowly to avoid bubbles. This thick mixture helps suspend the flowers.
3. Fill the jar halfway
Pour the glue mixture into the jar until it’s about halfway full.
4. Add the flowers
Using your hands or tweezers, gently place the silk flowers into the jar. Push them slightly into the mixture so they stay suspended rather than floating to the top.
5. Top it off
Pour in more of the glue mixture until the jar is completely full, leaving just a small gap at the top.
6. Seal the jar
Secure the lid tightly. For extra protection, you can seal the rim with a bit of glue.
