What is Explore Bike Share? Explore Bike Share provides a network of electric bikes (eBikes) that are rentable on-demand from stations around the city. The process is easy: you go to a station, pick up an eBike, and go. Then put it away at another station when you have finished your ride. Who is Explore Bike Share for? Bike share is for everyone wanting to get around Memphis, from commuters to shoppers to fitness-seekers to tourists. The bicycles are safe, simple, and sturdy—designed for users with a range of abilities. Come as you are—no special gear required. Where can I go with Explore Bike Share? As long as you start and end your trip at a station, you can ride anywhere you want to go. How do I use the pedal-assist? Memphis is not a city you are supposed to experience from the car window. 🚲

Downtown, the riverfront, neighborhood businesses, unexpected food stops, and the random corners you only notice when you slow down a little. That is the Memphis we like seeing from an Explore bike.

Start with a station, pick a direction, and give yourself permission to make a few unplanned stops along the way.

Honestly, we can’t blame them.

Memphis Strava people: how fast could you get from Overton Park to Crosstown Concourse? 👀🚲

We may be a little late to Strava, but now we get the hype.

We took an Explore ride from Overton Park to Crosstown Concourse, tracked the whole thing, and suddenly the ride came with receipts. Distance, time, speed, the whole flex.

And if Strava has mostly been for your runs because you don’t own a bike, consider this your loophole. Grab an Explore bike, start tracking, and see what your Memphis ride adds up to. 😉

The Explore bikes are doing great, though. 🚲😅

Are we still thinking about riding one through South Main, grabbing something to eat, and pretending this post is completely normal? Absolutely.
