Day 2 of the 41st Phyllis Chapter Conference in Memphis was powerful, meaningful, and unforgettable.

The day was filled with thought-provoking workshops, a heartfelt Memorial Service honoring those who paved the way before us, and a beautiful Dinner Banquet celebrating fellowship and scholarship.

Moments like these remind us that the Phyllis Chapter is more than a conference. It is a place where history is preserved, knowledge is shared, and legacy is honored.

We remain committed to the pursuit of study therein and the preservation of our sacred history.

Sharing a few highlights from Day 2.

Memphis. History. Legacy. Day 1

Day 1 of the 41st Phyllis Chapter Conference, we gathered not just as members, but as scholars, historians, and guardians of our story.

The Phyllis Chapter reminds us that history must be studied, preserved, and protected for the generations that follow. We stand proudly in the pursuit of study therein and the preservation of our sacred history.

Today members of The Phyllis Chapter stood on sacred ground at the National Civil Rights Museum, located at the historic Lorraine Motel.

This is the place where history changed forever...the place where the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. became etched into the conscience of a nation.

Walking through the museum was not just a visit, it was an experience. An experience that reminds us of the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering faith that fueled the Civil Rights Movement.

As scholars and members of the Phyllis Chapter, moments like this reinforce why history must be studied, preserved, and shared. The stories of struggle, resilience, and triumph must never be forgotten.

We left inspired, humbled, and even more committed to ensuring that the legacy of those who fought for justice continues to educate future generations.

Because history is not just something we read about…it is something we must remember, honor, and carry forward.
