Music Export Memphis is excited to launch Export 101 Office Hours, an extension of our professional development program that will give Memphis artists access to professionals in various fields for one-on-one support at NO COST!

That’s right: we’ll pay the Pro, you take the meeting. Come prepared with your questions, your ideas, the big challenges you’re facing right now and get ready to take notes. Memphis artists can access up to FIVE Office Hours per calendar year with professionals in marketing, publicity, management, legal, finance, and grant writing.

Like all MEM programs, Export 101 Office Hours is competitive as time with our Pros is limited! Spend some time with your application and let us know how you’ll maximize your Office Hour. All Office Hours requests are not guaranteed to be approved.

Money doesn't have to be intimidating. Whether you're getting paid for gigs through Venmo, teaching lessons, just starting to build credit, or dreaming about buying a tour van someday, this workshop is designed to help you take control of your finances as an artist.

Alongside our hosts at Orion Financial and the team from HHM, we'll cover:
• Treating your music like a business
• Building and understanding credit
• Budgeting basics
• Financing big purchases like a tour van
• Preparing for taxes year-round

Applications for our next official showcase at English Folk Expo are open now through August 20. If you have a strong touring history and are ready to expand into the UK and European markets, this showcase is designed to help you build international connections, meet industry professionals, and create new touring opportunities.

What a way to celebrate 10 years. 💙

Thank you to everyone who braved the Memphis heat (and then, the rain) to celebrate Music Export Memphis' 10th Birthday Bash with us at W.C. Handy Park. From incredible performances and community partners to reconnecting with so many friends of MEM, the day was a reminder of what makes our music community so special. When the clouds cleared, Hi Rhythm Section closed out the celebration in the best way possible.

We're incredibly grateful to our partners at the Downtown Memphis for hosting us, the Tennessee Arts Commission for their support, and to every artist, volunteer, sponsor, partner, and attendee who helped make this milestone unforgettable.

Our birthday celebration also marked the launch of $10 for 10, our new monthly giving campaign celebrating a decade of making Memphis a city of choice for musicians.
