🦆 NAME THAT DUCK!
We’re kicking off our new Name That Duck series!
Take a look at these photos and drop your guess in the comments. What duck do you think this is?
Here are a few hints to help you narrow it down without giving it away:
🔎 Hint 1: Don’t overlook the females! Male and female ducks of the same species can look dramatically different.
🔎 Hint 2: Pay attention to the overall color pattern. Look closely at the head, body, and especially the markings around the face.
🔎 Hint 3: The bill can be a BIG clue when identifying ducks. Notice its shape, size, and coloration.
🔎 Hint 4: Look for the flash of color on the wing. That small patch of contrasting feathers can help you narrow down what you’re looking at.
🔎 Hint 5: Don’t identify a duck by one feature alone. Consider its size, shape, coloration, bill, wing markings, and habitat together.
So… what’s your guess? 🧐🦆
Drop your answer below! And no cheating by reading everyone else’s comments first. 😉 and no googling or asking chat… we want to see who knows this duck!
