Our most recent regularly scheduled Wednesday night ride, which fell on New Year’s Eve, is in the books, and marks a total of 1,299 Wednesday and Saturday rides to seek out our friends on the streets since our inception in 2012.

Thanks to our amazing volunteers and donors, we were able to serve a total of 10,788 meals on these rides in 2025!

That’s 10,788 interactions in which we had the opportunity to communicate to someone feeling forgotten, alone, avoided, or shunned that they are worth seeking out. That they matter, and have dignity.

Urban Bike Food Ministry was founded in 2012 by Tommy Clark, at the time a student at Memphis Theological Seminary.

Clark had a passion for people and bikes, UBFM director Lyle Udell said, and "he sought God to show him a way to combine those two passions.”
