Founder/ President
Melissa is a native Memphian who is a product of the Memphis City Schools –she attendant Treadwell High School located in the Highland Heights area (Twelve year club). Her life changed after a 14 year girl was killed when caught in the crossfire of gang revelry. Melissa committed to work strongly in the community with grassroots organizations, which also inspired her to start her own 501 c 3 non profit outreach organization known as S.O.L.I.D.s Network (Scope of Life Illuminates Destiny), a ministry working with the people, for the people of our communities in the effort of having their voices heard. Melissa is an advocate for aging adults who desire to age safely in their communities as well advocating for families to become empowered. "I grew up in the Highland Heights community and find it appalling to see the decline of the community from drugs, vacant houses, and lack of businesses and absence of leaders. The decline of many communities is appalling. We are networking with residents and homeowners of Highland Heights as they revitalize their community as they age in place. S.O.L.I.D.s summary
