Members of AKA - Alpha Delta Zeta Omega Chapter had the privilege of attending a powerful Book Discussion and Signing Tour featuring renowned civil rights attorney Ben Crump. The event, sponsored by Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter under the leadership of Pamela Segrest, provided an opportunity for meaningful dialogue, education, and inspiration.

Attorney Crump shared valuable insights on justice, advocacy, leadership, and the importance of civic engagement. Beyond the enriching discussion, the event also offered a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, networking, and connecting with sorors and community members who share a passion for service and social change. We are grateful for the knowledge gained and the chance to participate in such an impactful experience.

Mental Health Matters, Sorors ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ’š

As we continue to serve, lead, and uplift our communities, let us remember that our well-being matters too. We often pour so much into others that we forget to refill ourselves, but you cannot give from an empty cup.

1. Take a moment to check in with you.
2. Rest when you need to.
3. Set boundaries without guilt.
4. Ask for help when life feels overwhelming.

There is strength in vulnerability and power in prioritizing your peace.

Sisterhood is not only about service, it is also about support. Lean on one another. Have the honest conversations. Extend grace, not only to others, but to yourself.

Let us continue to elevate by caring for our minds, our hearts, and our spirits. Be well. Stay encouraged. You are not alone.

May is .

Sisters, this is our gentle reminder to pause, check in, and pour back into you.

This year, weโ€™re leaning into joy, not as something random, but something intentional. For us, joy is courage. Itโ€™s healing. Itโ€™s resistance. And itโ€™s necessary.

Taking care of your mental and emotional well-being isnโ€™t a luxury, itโ€™s essential. So this month, letโ€™s be intentional together:

๐Ÿ’š Choose one thing that restores you
๐Ÿ’š Set one boundary that protects your peace
๐Ÿ’š Show one act of compassion, to yourself or someone else

When we prioritize our wellness, we donโ€™t just thrive, we uplift our families, our communities, and each other.

Letโ€™s SOAR in sisterhood and choose joy today, and every day.๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ’š
