Chainless Minds Change Lives Organization was founded on the vision of promoting growth through educational and cultural measures that equip the younger generation with the tools for facilitating change within the black community. We believe that educating our young people on historical and present events provide insight into the transformation of the black community from the past to the present s

tate. We also believe that educating our young people on cultural aspects that originated from Africa and transformed in America assist in further developing the identity of the individual, as well as the black community as a whole. Furthermore, we believe that educating our young people on the merits of mediation, or practicing mindfulness, enables the individual to discover self by diverting one from the stereotypes fueled by society to the truth powered by one's mind, which ultimately breaks the chains.

The "Being Black in College" College Preparatory Event is a college preparatory event that provides three workshop experiences for high school juniors and seniors who are in the process of preparing for their post-secondary endeavors. During each workshop experience, participants gain knowledge on the topics of networking, college social life (college organizations/societies, parties, etc.) and study aboard initiatives. All workshops are facilitated by community members who wish to see our youth led in the right direction during and after their college experience. This college preparatory event also consists of motivational speakers, "Know Your Rights" theatre, guides to best financial practices and voter registration, which, including additional materials and lunch, are provided to each participant FREE of charge.
