Our church family in Colombia needs us.

The recent earthquake hit our Cumberland Presbyterian churches in Colombia hard. I just got back from visiting pastors in the Andes Presbytery, and what I saw is heartbreaking. The video above shows our church in Pereira. The damage is so bad that the building must be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up.

Pereira is only one story. Many more of our churches in the region and in Cali are damaged too. These congregations are places of worship, but they are also where neighbors come for comfort, food, and hope. Right now their own buildings are unsafe.

We can't rebuild alone, but together we can. Every gift, large or small, helps a congregation to heal and be the light of Christ in their community.

How to give:
Make your check payable to the Mission Ministry Team (MMT) and write "Colombia Earthquake" on the memo line.

Please watch, pray, and share this video so our Colombian brothers and sisters know they are not forgotten.

Excellent information and resource for pastors

People experiencing mental health concerns often turn first to a faith leader.
That’s a sacred responsibility—and a heavy one.
Are you prepared to care for others and yourself when that moment comes?
This guide from the American Psychiatric Association offers practical ways to respond with compassion, awareness, and wisdom:
A few takeaways:
• Faith leaders are often “first responders” in mental health situations
• Noticing early signs and starting conversations matters
• You don’t have to have all the answers—connecting people to professional help is key
• Your own mental health matters too—burnout and compassion fatigue are real
You are not meant to carry this alone.
What’s one thing from this guide you could put into practice in your ministry or daily life? 💚
