Blues City Cultural Center,Inc.

Blues City Cultural Center,Inc. Blues City Cultural Center was founded April 1979 by Levi and Deborah Frazier. BCCC believes in “Arts for a Better Way of Life”

We produce original works that uses the Arts to address social issues to tell the stories of the people. The history of Blues City Cultural Center spans more than 40 years. It is a collection of stories with diverse voices that generally coincide with the development and growth of black arts in Memphis and the Mid-South. As with most arts organization, we sometimes had to be our own cheerleader an

d often led the way in transforming the southern artistic landscape. While this is not an inclusive history, it provides glimpses into our past and dedication to our original mission—utilizing the visual, creative and performing arts as a platform for entertainment, education, engagement, and empowerment.
