#2023 The Global College Pipeline Initiative needs your support!

The Global College Pipeline Initiative (GCP) is the only organization in Memphis, Tennessee that combines academic enrichment, college preparation, study/work abroad experience, financial literacy, and holistic self-empowerment practices into one bold vision of helping economically and socially disadvantaged students succeed in postsecondary education.

In addition, GCP helps participants to develop the cosmopolitan outlook and critical-thinking, leadership, and life skills that will help them succeed — on campus and beyond — and propel them to the forefront of social change.

The GCP experience doesn’t end with college or university. Once GCP students have completed their degree(s), we work with our community partners to provide these new graduates with career opportunities and other ways to change their home communities for the better. We partner with businesses and organizations that share our desire to close the postsecondary attainment gap to create economic and social mobility opportunities for all.

The Global College Pipeline Initiative (GCP) partners with secondary schools located in socially and economically disadvantaged communities to provide promising students with academic remediation and experiential learning activities. We provide access to college foundations and residential programs as well as study abroad programs where students can earn college credits early. These promising students are guaranteed admission into a GCP partner university that is best equipped to meet their needs.

Great News!!!

We are excited to announce that The Global College Pipeline Initiative (GCP) received a grant from Walmart Giving!!! This grant will support GCP’s efforts in breaking the cycle of poverty amongst over 44% of Memphis youth by offering educational and career opportunities that will change the trajectory of their minds and lives.

We know that there are a lot of organizations out there that need Walmart’s support. Thus, we are honored that Walmart has shared some of their resources with GCP. , and
