When I think of what I want my legacy to be when I move on from this life to the next, it’s simple…
I want ppl to know that I intentionally set out to be the hands and feet of Christ. That I loved ppl well, even when no one was looking or no credit was attributed to myself… and that I created a project that I pray will outlive me… that I pray will be spread and continued via my family and executed to Memphis and beyond
To date, is one of the things I’m most proud of…
1. It’s a tribute to my father, Elder Thomas Carter, Jr (The preacher - referenced in the nonprofit’s
2. It’s therapy in action to my soul to honor my father’s passing in this way - My dad passed away May 12, 2014. My bday is May 9th. Mother’s Day that year was May 11th. He asked for permission to pass that morning and transitioned while cuddling and loving on his fav girl, my mommy. My bday has been semi hard ever since
3. This project makes me look forward to my bday for a reason beyond myself
4. This project is a thank you for saving my older brother’s, Quantel’s, life after having emergency brain surgery there 20+ years ago
Here are a few moments from our May 2023 edition. Thanks for the financial support to have completed this project for 7 years and 9 projects total!
