Project Apoyo Creating education + employment opportunities for a lasting impact in Guatemala. We believe this starts with education + employment.

Apoyo means Support in Spanish, and it’s our mission to be a helping hand on the path to stronger communities. What we don’t believe, however, is that you should miss out on a great education or an exciting business opportunity just because of where you live. It’s Día del Niño in Guatemala!

Each October 1, this day honors children, promotes their well-being, and advocates for their fundamental rights.

Thanks to your generosity, these kiddos in Chicamen felt loved, valued, and believed in. Most importantly, they had fun. Vamos!

We’re all used to this 100 degree heat by now, right? So let’s get moving! We have partnered with the Education for the Children Foundation n for nearly a decade, and we’re excited to celebrate by taking part in Hope In Motion to help raise funds to provide even more resources for students at The School of Hope in Guatemala.

From September 15–October 15: walk, run, bike, swim, or move however you like as we take a virtual journey through Guatemala. Our goal: move 1,000 miles together, from Antigua to Tikal and back, and raise $1,000 along the way! 🇬🇹

Head here https://hope-in-motion.raiselysite.com/t/project-apoyo to join our team and get moving today. Vamos! 🚴‍♂️ 🏊 🏃

Meet Ludwing. We have loved getting to know this talented teacher this year through the English program at the School of Hope. He’s done an excellent job of utilizing the books and technology that your giving has provided, while finding creative ways to make English engaging and relevant to his students’ lives.

We talk all the time about education and employment. Thanks to your generosity, doors are opening that otherwise may never have been possible. Thanks to your generosity, a job was created. Thanks to your generosity, English classes are teaching more than a language. Through our partners at the Education For The Children, we’re helping create life-changing opportunities through education and employment.

The students are a few months into their English classes, and they’re having the best time learning with Ms. Carol. 📚

This is the first time the students at Chicamen School have had access to English classes. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, they’re receiving lessons every week, building confidence, and discovering a love for language learning.

🔊 Sound on to hear the signature soundtrack of Chicamán: los gallos. 🐓

The vibes will be good…trust us, because Memphis legend Jad Tariq and his Trio will be setting the tone with that good 901 sound.
