The Memphis Metropolitan Association of Chiefs of Police was proud to be represented today at the DeSoto County District Attorney's Office’s “State of the County” address hosted by the Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce.

District Attorney Matthew Barton provided a comprehensive overview of crime trends, prosecution efforts, and the continued focus on strengthening public safety across DeSoto County. The presentation highlighted the impact of strong partnerships between prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, and community stakeholders.

Public safety does not stop at jurisdictional lines, and continued communication between agencies across the Mid-South remains critical to the safety and success of the communities we serve.

We appreciate the opportunity to be part of the conversation and to support our partners in DeSoto County.

Different uniforms. Different agencies. Same mission.

Today’s Memphis Metropolitan Association of Chiefs of Police meeting brought people into the same room to have the conversations that don’t always make headlines—but make a difference.

A full room and meaningful dialogue at today’s March meeting of the Memphis Metropolitan Association of Chiefs of Police.

This month’s meeting was hosted by the BARTLETT POLICE DEPARTMENT at New Hope Christian Church Bartlett, TN, bringing together law enforcement leaders and partners from across the Mid-South.

We were privileged to welcome Dr. Bernard Williams, Chief Probation Officer for Juvenile Court Memphis/Shelby County, whose presentation sparked important conversations around juvenile justice, accountability, and the role we all play in shaping better outcomes for the next generation.

Grateful to see so many of our members in the room, engaged and committed—not just to their agencies, but to the community as a whole.

Thank you to our hosts for providing a space that continues to bring people together for the right reasons.

The Memphis Metropolitan Association of Chiefs of Police was proud to be represented at today’s Memphis Safe Task Force event, which brought together leaders and professionals from across the Mid-South and beyond.

With President Donald Trump and members of his administration in attendance, the event provided an opportunity to highlight the ongoing work and collaboration happening at every level of public safety.

It was great to see such a strong showing of agencies at every level—local, state, and federal—all in one place. Events like this highlight the importance of collaboration, communication, and a shared commitment to public safety.

We were especially encouraged to see so many of our MMACP members in attendance, continuing to lead, serve, and represent their communities with professionalism and dedication.

Moments like this reinforce what’s possible when agencies come together with a common purpose.

Our thoughts are with a Memphis Police Officer who was shot in the line of duty overnight.

We are thankful to hear the officer is currently in critical but stable condition, and we are hoping for continued strength and progress in the hours and days ahead.

We stand with the men and women of the Memphis Police Department and with this officer’s family during an incredibly difficult time. Incidents like this are a sobering reminder of the risks officers face each day in service to our community.

The Memphis Metropolitan Association of Chiefs of Police is united in support — for the officer, for the family, and for every first responder working tonight.
