Memphis Working People have been busy supporting our partners and friends in their work. Got new signups JATC (Electrician Apprenticeship) before the last day to register voters.

It is our priority to make sure that all votes are counted come election day, and that everyone that can vote DOES!

It is also our job to share who supports Labor from the front NOT the back. CWA local members had a great turn out of Union Leaders to their fundraiser for Rep. Justin Pearson, candidate for Congressional District 9.

Attended the Memphis NAACP Freedom Award Luncheon with many inspiring words and stories shared get people fired up to vote.

Memphis Public Library Workers had a good time in concert celebrating each other, and getting their message out to support their Referendum 5966 in November that will allow them to become Civil Servants. That's a Good Thing, don't get it twisted.

Make sure to catch Jerri Green for Governor Friday at Teamsters Local for debate (or not).

Labor People in Training learning that labor does so much more than just work. We put our work to purpose at organizations like Feed The Needy spearheaded by Mrs. Ruth Rawings-Banks and Mr. Bramley. Just a few good Troublemakers. is also in the house.

Today is the last day to register to vote for it to count in the November 3rd election. You have Not registered yet, please don't wait. Go downtown or contact a local voter register now. We got a few new voter registered at IBEW's JATC last week. Tag teamed with our partners at Shelby County Voter Alliance.

TN NAACP panel discussion on working people.

How current economic and political rollbacks directly impact Black workers and families across Tennessee. The discussion will also look at systemic attacks—such as dismantling diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives— originated in the federal government and rapidly trickled down into private sector plants, statewide public services, factories, and meatpacking facilities.

Our friends at SCVA will be hosting their next Lunch & Learn next Wednesday Sept 30th from 12 - 130pm.
