Minneapolis welcomed hundreds of Labor Leaders from all over the United States. There were great Union Vendors, and SAG-AFTRA even brought out the cream of the crop.

Congratulations to President Liz Shuler and Secretary Treasurer Fred Redmond on their re-election. Labor Siblings showed their love and commitment for the movement in bold colors.

SEIU also laid out the red carpet for working people. We are inspired and ready to work. Now pull your boot straps up and lets do what we do best ORGANIZE!

AI is here but the people of this nation still have a responsibility to voice how and what we do with it. It is not a 2-year child you let run the HOUSE. As working people we help decide, we can make sure there are regulations of how to responsibility use its resources, where Data Center's will live, and how to protect the communities' health, how to safe guard jobs, personal information and the repercussions if they don't.

Listen to this presentation and lay your questions in the comments. Let's hear what the South has to say since data centers are popping up in our backyard.

Memphis will be attending the National AFL-CIO Convention this weekend. We are ready to grow our numbers and strengthen the Labor Movement together with our siblings in Minneapolis. Our siblings have been taking huge hits due to many harmful legislations by this administration. They have been on the Frontline standing tall as Union Peacekeepers and we will bring our numbers to the city.

Our 30th constitutional convention is union democracy in action — where the labor movement is coming together, building solidarity and strategizing for the fights ahead as we fight for a better future for all working people.

Stay tuned for info on how you can follow along.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Craig Romanovich, Executive Director of the Union Veterans Council (UVC), AFL-CIO, issued the following statement ahead of Memorial Day:

"Memorial Day is a sacred solemnity. It demands that we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. As a proud U.S. Army veteran, I know that behind every name carved into a monument or marked by a flag in a cemetery is a story of profound love for country and community.

But our duty to the fallen does not end when the parades conclude. The most powerful way we can honor those who died protecting our democracy is by fiercely protecting the working-class people they left behind. So many of our fallen heroes came from working-class families—from our union halls, our construction sites, our utility plants, and our public services. They put their lives on the line for a promise that their sacrifice would ensure a better, freer world for their families.

True remembrance requires action. As we enter this Memorial Day Weekend, the Union Veterans Council recommits to fighting for the living—for the gold star families, the working veterans, and the civilian defense workers who carry the legacy of service every single day. We honor the dead by fighting like hell for the living, ensuring that the dignity, freedoms, and labor rights they died to defend are protected right here at home."
