Memphis Teen Vision (MemTV) is a collaborative effort comprised of Memphis community organizations, agencies, and providers addressing sexual health disparities of pregnant and parenting teens in Shelby County. Our Vision
A future where all teens are taught comprehensive reproductive and sexual health education, teens' onset of sexual in*******se is delayed, teen pregnancies are reduced, and teen parents are provided assistance with their parenting needs. Our Mission
Memphis Teen Vision is a coordinated community advocacy effort to reduce teen pregnancy and support teen parenting that includes:
- Comprehensive reproductive and sexual health education for teens, including contraceptive access and teen-friendly provider information.
- Services, support, and education to pregnant and parenting teens.
- Strong policies and programs that promote adolescent sexual health on the local and state levels. Our Guiding Principles
- Dedicated to making resources for teens and teen parents more transparent and easily accessible.
- Promote a non-judgmental community culture where teens have access to comprehensive reproductive and sexual health education.
- Promote strategies that focus on the needs youth of all genders may have
