August 25 is the Feast Day of St. Louis IX, King of France—the saint whose name has been carried by our parish, our school, and St. Louis Youth Ministry for generations.

He wore a crown, but that isn’t what made him a saint.

He was a husband. A father. A leader. A servant. A man who loved the poor, stood for what he believed was right, and refused to separate his faith from the way he lived his everyday life.

And that might be the best lesson he can give us today:

Your faith isn't just something you practice at Mass.
It's something you live.

In your friendships.
In your school.
On your team.
At home.
On a mission trip.
When people are watching—and especially when they aren't.

For decades, thousands of young people have walked through St. Louis Youth Ministry carrying the name of this saint. Today, we pray that we continue to carry more than just his name.

May we carry his faith. His courage. His compassion. His willingness to serve.

And may we have the courage to become the saints God is calling us to be.

St. Louis, King of France, pray for us!

Congratulations, Claire, on this well-deserved honor!

We are so proud of the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that led to this achievement. It’s a joy to watch our teens use their God-given gifts, pursue excellence, and represent our youth ministry so well.
