Confessions of a Memphis Sorority Girl:

My sorority life experience has been better than I could have ever imagined. Going into recruitment I had no idea what to expect and I never thought of myself as a "sorority girl". I joined a sorority and became a better version of myself. I learned to be a true leader of a people, I learned how to compromise, and I learned that not everything will go your way but you just have realize that somethings are bigger than you. I also now have a support group and constant encouragement with anything new I want to try, and even some people to help me with the things I shouldn't do. Being in a sorority has shown me the good in people with the constant philanthropy and community service projects that are offered. Without the joining a sorority, I would have never pursued an internship that will hopefully lead to a career.

I never thought I would be a sorority girl. Now I do not know what I would have done if I wasn't one. Sorority life gave me confidence to by myself, to break out of my shell. It gave me a chance to be a leader and to put my talents to use. And most importantly I have made friendships that will last forever. I know my sisters will always be there for me, through the ups and the downs and that's something's that can't be found easily. Being apart of a sorority was without a doubt the best decision I could have ever made in college.

Confessions of a Memphis Sorority Girl:

My sorority life experience has been better than I could have imagined. I strongly believe that my college experience would have not been the same if I did not join a sorority. I have met so many great girls and developed such amazing relationships during my sorority life. Its hard to imagine not knowing the girls I know now during my college experience. It is such a rewarding experience while walking on campus and seeing familiar faces. I do not think I would have been as happy of a student while going to the U of M if I did not join a sorority. It is extremely hard to build friendships by just going to class and going home afterwards. Sorority life has opened up so many doors for me including friends, leadership and involvement. I not only have a whole chapter of friends, but a whole Panhellenic council of friendships. I would have never applied for leadership roles in my chapter or on campus if it was not for the girls in my chapter encouraging me. Sorority life means so much to me and I would not trade it for the world. I hope every girl going to college will take the opportunity to go through sorority recruitment!
