Introducing 2026 Iron & Integrity Honoree, Bishop Laurence V. Plummer Sr.! 🏆🌟
Bishop Laurence V. Plummer, Sr. is the pastor of Love Fellowship Ministries, Inc. On December 1, 2001, Laurence V. Plummer accepted his calling into the ministry. and was later ordained as an elder in June of 2004.
Bishop served under the leadership of the late Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson and Temple of Deliverance for 17 years and he also was the chief administrator for the church.
God called Bishop Plummer to birth his own ministry, Love Fellowship Ministries which was established in June of 2006. Love Fellowship has been extremely blessed to have over 300 members in its first year of existence.
In 2011, Bishop Plummer was consecrated as the Presiding Bishop over the United Council of Independent Christian Churches, Inc. which had been founded and lead by his father, Bishop T. Walter Plummer.
Bishop Plummer has always been a generous giver with a heart for the people and his community. In August of 2013, Love Fellowship Ministries partnered with Dr. Willie Herenton to open the DuBois Elementary School of Entrepreneurship.
Bishop Plummer is also a highly accomplished Financial Services Representative and President of Plummer Financial Services, LLC, with a distinguished career spanning more than 46 years. Throughout his career, he has earned numerous honors for his outstanding performance and commitment to excellence in the financial services industry.
In 2001, Bishop Plummer was inducted into the John Hancock Hall of Fame, one of the company’s highest honors. Of the thousands of advisors who have served throughout John Hancock’s history, only 172 had been inducted into the Hall of Fame at the time of his recognition, with Bishop Plummer being one of only three African American advisors to receive this prestigious distinction.
For thirteen consecutive years, Bishop Plummer was also recognized as one of the leading Platinum Producers within the John Hancock Financial Network through its ACE—Achieving Client Excellence—program. The ACE designation reflects John Hancock Financial Network’s belief that sales excellence is demonstrated through professionalism, respect, integrity, and the meaningful value delivered to clients each day.
In May 2014, Bishop Plummer reached another extraordinary milestone when he received the 2013 award as the #1 Representative in the John Hancock Financial Network internationally, further distinguishing his remarkable career and legacy in the financial services industry.
Bishop Plummer is married to his wife, Nadine and they have four children, Letitia, Lauretta, L.V. Jr., and Laurenz. He also has four grandchildren Riley, Olivia, Eli and Junia.
