For those of you scrambling next week - read this post.
Here's a new idea: Consider asking a stay at home mom (who is planning on being home 🏡 anyway) if you can drop your kid for babysitting or a playdate AND THEN COMPENSATE THEM ACCORDINGLY. 💰

If it's a little kid - preschool age - I consider that babysitting and you can offer to pay the mom. If it's a school-age kid - it's more like a long playdate, and I would offer to provide them dinner that night or in trade for TP, etc. The mom might appreciate the distraction for their older kid but it's still doing you a favor, so don't take advantage.

In my opinion, social distancing means not being in public with large gatherings of like 30-1000 people you don't know and don't know where they've been. Travel, planes, museums, sports events, concerts, restaurants, etc. If parents are having to plan a "kids club" where they rotate who keeps a handful (like 5-7) of kids so the parents can go to work - and those kiddos are playing outside at someone's house (not at a children's museum) that's not spreading the virus. Of course, I'm not a medical or I.D. expert but the economy must go on - doctors and nurses and firefighters and police-people must go to work and have somewhere for their kids to go right?

I read a great one today by Briarcrest Christian School explaining "this is not an extended Spring Break" and the reasoning behind 2 week vs 1 week social distancing measures.

I find this brand comparable to Scandanavian brands like Hanna Andersson and Polarn O. Pyret. Also Mini Boden. I love the solid basics. They're of high quality. All the clothes look like they're made for KIDS and are modest but made of comfy knits.
