Thank you for all your prayers! Our trip started out frustrating and seemingly doomed, but the Lord showed us we didn’t need stuff we supplied for ourselves, He was the source and supply! We went forward with what medication was left there from last trips as well as donations from GBH ( the Christian hospital we worked with to to the medical ministry) and donations from a local church in one of the towns where we served. We cared for almost 400 patients. Medical education was done , medical care provided, medication given out and the gospel shared. Some came to Christ immediately but seeds were planted.
Before we left we were able to meet with the customs officials. They were very kind, caring and receptive. They helped us understand that all they do is to protect their people and their country. They are battling drugs and terrorism like every where else and they take their assignment very seriously. They also want to see their people helped. The paperwork was not properly done on our part this time but they will help us make sure we get things right next time so we will have no trouble getting things in to serve the people. They were so kind to us and helped us get all of our personal equipment processed back to us and helped us check in for our flight.
I praise the Lord for such a successful trip! I praise Him for great medical partners in GBH. I praise Him for the wonderful people that are doing such a good job for the people of Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) in the customs department. We hope to return to serve again.
