Memphis United: Know Your Rights Theatre Interactive theatre workshops educate young people about their rights and how to better communicate with law enforcement.

Memphis United, part of the Mid-South Peace & Justice Center, focused on criminal justice reform is providing free interactive theatre workshops that, with the assistance of trained facilitators and experienced local attorneys, educate young people about their rights and how to better communicate with law enforcement. Participants become the actors, learning hands-on by role-playing in real life

scenarios. We also distribute free "Know Your Rights Handbooks" with more information and local resources that children can keep and share with their parents. We have done these workshops with over 250 youth at Soulsville Charter School, Bridges USA, and the 2015 Gandhi King Youth Conference, ranging from elementary to high school students.
