Beautiful Spirited Women is a support group of women whose sole purpose is to uplift women and girls to higher spirits, rebuil

Growing up in the housing projects of Memphis, Tennessee, Crystal Chatman felt ill-equipped to deal with life’s difficult situations. She wished for a mentor to teach her about the importance of education and self-worth. Having her mother and siblings really helped her face life obstacles that came her way. As an adult, she channeled that desire into action by founding Beautiful Spirited Women (BSW)in 2009 with several beautiful women who started faithfully with her, a non-profit dedicated to empowering and advocating for girls. Beautiful Spirited Women (BSW) provides young women with a powerful platform to share their personal experiences with sex, drug abuse, domestic violence, low self-esteem, bullying and depression, and equips them with important life skills to advance in schools and workplace situations. Beautiful Spirited Women (BSW) tackles difficult issues such as poverty and teenage pregnancy by bringing young mothers to talk to program participants and working with teenagers who hold dreams of one day owning their own businesses. Since its inception 14 years ago, Beautiful Spirited Women (BSW) has spread to fourteen cities and states, serving 25,000-65,000 constituents each year through events, workshops, seminars, luncheons, virtual platforms, and school visits. With an incredible board, volunteer team, parents, and amazing girls of BSW, we would not be who GOD called us to be without any of them. One thing we can truly pat ourselves on the back for is creating a beautiful and safe space through Beautiful Spirited Women where women can come together to learn, grow, build meaningful relationships, discover their purpose, strengthen their leadership skills, and become better versions of themselves. We have created more than just an organization.

We have built a sisterhood where women can feel valued, supported, encouraged, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. Whewwwww it take a lot of healthy minds, healthy hands, and powerful business minded women to get through the storms of boundaries, grace and leadership.

LAST DAY to apply for 2026-2027 Volunteer and Leadership Team for Beautiful Spirited Women! We are only searching for serious mentors who are ready to take a leap of faith to continue to PUSH Beautiful Spirited Women forward in the mission.

Our goal is to support our mission at www.beautifulspiritedwomen.org, please note that in any leadership positions, it takes a moment of your time to be a mentor, follow policy and procedures and communication!

WE NEED 50 WOMEN AND MEN TO DONATE $50 OR MORE TODAY!

Beautiful Spirited Women is on a mission to impact the lives of 20 incredible girls through our 2027 Ghana Africa Mission Trip!

Your generous donation will help provide safe transportation and accommodations along with meals and educational experiences. Your support will also provide cultural enrichment and leadership development opportunities along with community service projects and essential travel supplies.

As proud partners of the Grizz Community, Our BSW Mentor Tamera, Mom and Mentee enjoyed line dancing class with Georgette and Cato Johnson of YWCA Memphis! We were able to take part in line dancing, get active, and connect with other TEAMmates. No dance experience was required, so we had a good ole wiggle time!

These boxes are more than just essential items. They represent LOVE, HOPE, ENCOURAGEMENT, and a reminder that our college students are never forgotten as they continue their educational journeys.
