I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer the Edu Farmers Foundation, supporting farmers in underserved areas of Indonesia. It was an inspiring way to give back and make a global impact through hands-on service in sustainable agriculture.

Here are three things I learned during my volunteer journey:
🌾 Rice farming is deeply rooted in community and tradition
Many Indonesian farmers use age-old methods passed down through generations, blending cultural heritage with sustainable practices.

🌱 Farming is often done by hand
In many regions, planting, weeding, and harvesting are still done manually, requiring hard physical labor and long hours in the sun and mud.

🌦️ Farmers are adapting to climate change
I saw how smallholder farmers are learning to manage unpredictable weather and water shortages by using more resilient, eco-friendly farming techniques.
