Greetings SWE Memphis members and supporters,

We are accepting nominations for our FY27 SWE Memphis leadership team until June 5th, 2026! The SWE Memphis FY27 leadership team will serve from July 2026 – June 2027. Please click here to self-nominate or nominate a colleague or friend who is interested in getting more involved in SWE. More information about the responsibilities of each position is available here.

If you are interested in more than one position, we encourage you to list your name for both in the survey. By doing so, you will be considered for both positions, but you will not be elected to hold more than one position at a time.

After nominations are complete, the ballot to vote on next year’s Executive Council will be sent out to paid members only. If you want to vote in elections, check that you’re a paid member for FY26. If you’re not a paid member for FY26 and you renew your membership for FY27, you automatically receive membership for the remainder of FY26 and can vote.

If you want to learn more about the leadership team positions, contact us at [email protected] and a leadership team member will respond.

We look forward to seeing your nominations!

Check out the K-12 outreach events we have recently participated in!

On February 27th, we attended eDay at the University of Memphis, an event to introduce engineering to 3rd-12th grade students through various competitions and activities. We hosted a cup stacking challenge and aided the collegiate chapter in their flash build competition.

On March 28th, we attended STEMology, a minority empowerment conference for 3rd-12th grade students hosted by the National Society of Black Engineers which uses STEM to inspire the next generation of young leaders. This year, members of SWE Memphis served on a panel discussing myths and truths of minorities & genders in STEM.
