As some of you might know, Saturday, October 6th, is National Gandhi Day of Service. To honor such an inspirational man and help in our community, GCAM Youth has partnered with Youth Villages to organize a service project. We will be meeting at Youth Village's Bartlett campus (7410 Memphis Arlington Road, Memphis, TN 38135) at 8:30 am on Saturday and will be done by 11:30. Festivities include face painting, tossing footballs with the kids, playing Frisbee, and badminton. We are also working on getting some games organized. To join us you have to be 16 years old and must let either Cayla or Mikul know ASAP via text, Facebook, or email. We need to give the lady at Youth Villages a head count. This is a great way to earn service hours for National Honor Society as well! We hope you come out and help us make this day memorable for the kids!

hey guys,
our next GCAM youth event will be at the Billy Hardwicks All Star Bowling alley, next Saturday (February 25th) at 6 o'clock. we would love for you and your family to come out bowl with other GCAM Youth members. Cost is $10 dollars an hour per person. We encourage everyone to be there and bring family members as well. Please let us know whether you can make it or not so we know how many lanes to reserve. Hope you can make it!

GCAM Youth Members,

It’s finally time to get this GCAM Youth program up and running! Our first event will be Friday, December 9th,2011. We’re going ice skating at the Midsouth Ice House (10705 Ridgeway Industrial Road, Olive Branch, MS 38654) from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm! All Youths are invited based on parent discretion. Admission is about $11. Non-skating parents are free and more than welcome to come. Remember that if your parents are not members of GCAM, you cannot be a member of GCAM Youth. Therefore, encourage your parents to become GCAM members!

Finally, we are looking for about 10 people who are interested in being on the planning committee for GCAM Youth. As a committee member your responsibilities would include: helping planning events, organizing fundraisers, creating e-mail flyers, and other things of that nature. If you are over the age of 15 and are interested in helping us we’d really appreciate it. If this is something you want to do, we ask that you meet us at Guadalajara Grill (7143 Hacks Cross Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654) at 5:30 p.m on December 9th to discuss future plans and ideas.

GCAM has decided to create a Youth committee for members 10 years of age to 21 years of age. We've decided to do this so that we can have our OWN events such as ice skating, picnics, dances, and trips. Please lets all of your friends within this age range about this! We're so excited to be able to do this and we hope you are too! :)
