We were thrilled to hold a ceremonial groundbreaking this week at the site of our future home and the future home of the Firefighters First Credit Union Memphis branch. We look forward to construction starting before the end of the month and occupancy (hopefully) by July 2027.

Last week, members of the Memphis Fire Fighters Association and Memphis Fire Department attended an IAFF Fire Ground Survival Train-the-Trainer class in Paducah, Kentucky.

This Fire Ground Survival program is considered the “Gold Standard” and was developed with input from the IAFC and NIOSH, incorporating lessons from firefighter fatalities and near misses. It is designed to standardize Mayday prevention and survival procedures across ranks. This 32-hour class included classroom instruction and practical evolutions.

Representing the MFFA and the Memphis Fire Department were Lieutenant Justin Workman, Lieutenant Chris Curtis, and Driver Ben Kimball.
