🎉We are thrilled to announce that when the new Memphis Art Museum opens on the Mississippi riverfront this December 6th, it will be FREE for Shelby County. Forever.

Not just for opening week. ALWAYS.

This remarkable gift is made possible by the generosity of an anonymous donor whose professional life was shaped in large part by his years at AutoZone in Memphis. He no longer lives in Memphis, but he believes deeply in the power of museums, in free access to them, and in giving something back to the people of Memphis.

📸:Thank you to Cheers Photo Co. | Memphis Photo Booth Rentals for capturing these wonderful faces! These photos show the vibrant spirit of the people who come in and out of this museum everyday!

Join us tomorrow for a special edition of Art & Aperitifs exploring David Uzochukwu's first solo museum exhibition and the themes of migration, belonging, and identity that shape his work.

From collaborating with global figures such as Pharrell Williams, FKA Twigs, and Little Dragon to developing his distinctive digital collage practice, Uzochukwu brings together image-making, cultural memory, and storytelling. They'll discuss his self-taught path, his layered creative process, and how personal and collective histories inform his bold, contemporary vision.

It's filling up but there's still time to grab a seat!
