Chief Washington was recognized for his unwavering dedication to our community, including an incredible 39 years of service to the SCSO Reserve Division. His impact extends far beyond the badge, as he has faithfully provided Christmas gifts to more than 100 foster children each year, ensuring underprivileged children in our community experience love, joy, and hope during the holiday season.

Thank you, Chief Washington, for showing us that fatherhood is not only about biology—it’s about service, sacrifice, leadership, and leaving a lasting legacy.

For Zachary, fatherhood is both a privilege and a purpose. As the proud father of Paisley and Luca, he is driven every day by a desire to lead by example, build a strong foundation for his children, and leave a legacy that extends far beyond his own success.

As the owner of ZWJ Investments LLC, Zachary has helped transform homes, businesses, and communities throughout Memphis through construction, renovation, and development projects. He is also the founder of the 30 for 30 Collective, an initiative focused on fitness, accountability, personal growth, and meaningful connections.
But of all his accomplishments, the role he values most is being a father.

Zachary believes fatherhood means being a leader, provider, teacher, and role model, demonstrating integrity, resilience, discipline, and compassion through everyday actions. His mission is to instill the values of faith, hard work, perseverance, and service in the next generation.

Fatherhood is more than a title, it’s a lifelong commitment. For Cato Johnson III, fatherhood has been one of his greatest accomplishments. The birth of his daughter, Ava, transformed his perspective on life, teaching him the importance of listening, encouraging, mentoring, and leading by example. From helping with homework to learning how to do her hair, every moment has reinforced his commitment to building strong roots that will support her future.

“Fatherhood does not stop at birth; it goes on for a lifetime. No matter what I say or do, I always pray and share hugs with my daughter. She makes me a better father.”

Professionally, Cato serves as a Client Experience Consultant with over a decade of leadership experience spanning health, wellness, fitness, government, education, and the private sector. A graduate of the University of Memphis with a degree in Psychology and a graduate of Leadership Memphis, he is passionate about helping others thrive both personally and professionally.

Today, we celebrate a man who understands that true leadership begins at home.
