In 2014, Melony had a routine colonoscopy, but there was nothing "routine" about this scan! As an active, seemingly healthy person, nothing could have prepared Melony for the diagnosis resulting from that scan - Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer.
She endured two grueling rounds of chemo, multiple surgeries, and life-threatening complications on her road to recovery. However, despite the odds, she is proud to call herself a SURVIVOR, and is cancer free to this day!
