Real community impact is rarely created by one organization alone.

It happens when community partners, educators, workforce leaders, employers, and residents come together around a common goal.

We’re proud of the collaboration that made the ProGeny Fiber Optics Academy possible, including our partnership with Western Tennessee A&M and the support of the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, Memphis Public Library, which provided the space to bring this training into the community.

This is the kind of collaboration that strengthens workforce pipelines and creates more accessible pathways to opportunity.

Have a vision for creating greater workforce opportunity in Memphis? Let’s build together.

A new skill can open the door to an entirely new future.

During the ProGeny Fiber Optics Academy, participants gained hands-on exposure to fiber optics while developing skills that can help prepare them for opportunities within an evolving regional economy.

But workforce development is about more than technical knowledge.

It’s about helping people recognize what they’re capable of, understand where their skills can take them, and see themselves succeeding in industries they may not have previously considered.

That’s the kind of impact we want to create across Memphis.

Learn the skill. See the possibility. Build the future.

A changing economy requires a workforce prepared to change with it.

That means creating more opportunities for people to gain practical skills, explore emerging career pathways, and understand where the jobs of tomorrow are headed.

The ProGeny Fiber Optics Academy is part of that work.

Through hands-on workforce development and the larger FutureWorks901 TPM Collaborative, we’re helping create stronger connections between talent, training, and the needs of our regional economy.

We don’t just want Memphis to experience economic growth.

We want Memphians positioned to benefit from it.

Follow ProGeny as we continue building pathways toward opportunity and economic mobility.

What happens when we invest in people?

We strengthen families.
We strengthen employers.
We strengthen communities.
And ultimately, we strengthen Memphis.

The ProGeny Fiber Optics Academy created an opportunity for community members to gain hands-on workforce training while building skills relevant to an evolving economy.

We’re grateful to the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, Memphis Public Library for supporting this work by providing a welcoming community space for learning and growth.

Libraries have always connected people to knowledge. Partnerships like this show how those connections can also help create pathways to economic opportunity.

Let’s keep investing in Memphis talent. Share this post with someone who believes in what our city can become.

There’s a difference between hearing about an opportunity and getting the chance to put your hands on it.

At the ProGeny Fiber Optics Academy, participants didn’t just learn concepts. They practiced skills, worked with industry-related tools, asked questions, and experienced the work firsthand.

That exposure matters.

Every new skill can become a building block toward confidence, employability, career advancement, and greater economic opportunity.

Through FutureWorks901, we’re working to ensure more Mid-Southerners have access to training that connects learning to real possibilities.

What could one new skill unlock for you? Follow ProGeny and find out.

Opportunity should be accessible.

That’s why we’re committed to bringing career-connected training directly into the communities we serve.

The ProGeny Fiber Optics Academy gives participants an opportunity to explore fiber optics through hands-on learning while building skills connected to an evolving workforce.

Our goal is bigger than one training. Through FutureWorks901, we’re helping strengthen the bridge between people, training, employers, and the careers that can create lasting economic mobility.

Because when Memphis talent has access to the right opportunities, our entire city moves forward.

Follow ProGeny to see where opportunity goes next. 💚

When organizations come together around a shared vision for the community, possibilities grow.

The ProGeny Fiber Optics Academy, in partnership with Western Tennessee A&M, brought community members together for hands-on training connected to the skills employers need in emerging industries.

We’re grateful to the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, Memphis Public Library for providing a space where learning, connection, and opportunity could happen. Community spaces like this play an important role in building a stronger Memphis.

This is partnership in action, and this is how we create pathways that can change lives.

The future of work isn’t coming. It’s already here. And we’re making sure Memphians are ready for it. 💚

Through the ProGeny Fiber Optics Academy, community members received hands-on workforce development training designed to build practical skills for emerging career opportunities across the Mid-South.

This is what opportunity looks like: access to training, exposure to growing industries, and the confidence to turn new skills into new possibilities.

Part of our FutureWorks901 TPM Collaborative, this work moves us closer to a Memphis where more people have a pathway to sustainable, middle-income careers.
