hello family and friends 🤗

we are officially done with the 2022-2023 school year 🥳 BGC Trezevant sends out a loud congratulations to all the students and teachers for finishing strong 💪🏾

so if you are looking for something to do this summer , consider coming to Trezevant Boys & Girls Club ‼️ come in Monday , June 12th at 9a to meet the staff , receive information , and sign them kids up for summer activities 🎟️

the child that may be interested does have to be coming to THS in the Fall of 2023 and at the age of 15 or older . meaning incoming freshmen to senior level are invited 🙌🏾

keep us in mind to get the kids out of the house this summer . we will be glad to have them 💜

12/07/2022 - today’s world revolves around social media , and our kids are HUGE on tiktok . so today we tried a trend that we thought would be great exercise ! more trial and errors in the comments 🤣

11/28/2022 - we went outside ! some played football with Coach Clark , while others decided to have a foot race with Miss TeeTee . our kids are VERY competitive and love to show off their outside skills . while we keep them in the books , we get some physical work in as well . more videos are in the comments !

Better late then never!

11/6/2022- Thanks to an awesome sponsorship we have with Dave & Buster's a few of our kids were able to eat and play games free of charge! Mr. Carl, the general manager, was kind enough to allow us to enjoy this time as a club. Our kids had a blast. We can not wait to go back to Dave & Busters of Memphis!

11/14/2022 - on one of our few trips to TTC (Technical Training Center) before the break .. the kids got to introduce themselves and break up into groups to attend the STEM and logistics program for the day . after sessions were done , we had a friendly game of UNO and Coach Clark came in and help Jeff cheat at the end ! haha . but it’s safe to say , the kids had fun .

11/02/2022 - THS BGC had some visitors from the Central Office . these amazing people toured our school and spared some time to play Jeopardy with the kids . definitely wish we could’ve gotten more pictures but we were too busy having fun !

10/18/2022 - we enjoyed our one-on-one paint session with The Art TRAP House ! Mr. Larry taught the class how to paint a sunset from scratch . everyone loved it so much , we are considering making having monthly painting sessions . thanks Mr. Larry for your expertise and guidance !

09/20/2022 - guidance counselor , Ms. Melissa Bell , came and spoke to the members about mental health . she explained to them how important it is to talk and express your feelings so life will not become overwhelming . and if your parents won’t listen , to find a friend or another trusting adult .

if you do not have any adults to talk to , write it down ! you have to release the negative energy from your mind , body , and soul . otherwise your emotions will just become something to heavy to bare . everyone goes through something but remember , you do not have to go through it alone ! at THS , we care 💜
