The CRA is seeking proposals from a consultant team to collaborate with the CRA and other stakeholders to redefine the relationship that several northwest Memphis neighborhoods have with I-40 by focusing on a safe, vibrant, community-connected experience.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: We have heard your challenges with the online utility assistance application. To better support you, we are moving the utility assistance application process to in-person appointments starting in June. We will complete your application together in person, and you’ll leave your appointment knowing its status.

You can reserve an appointment by going online and finding a date and time on CSA’s LIHEAP booking calendar. The calendar will offer appointments two weeks ahead. To see all the available appointments this summer, make sure you click on the arrows < > shown under the date being viewed. By doing so, it will take you to the next month of availability. Don’t worry if you do not see open appointments – appointments will be released based on volume.

2026 Appalachian & Creative Placemaking Summit

When I first started out, I wasn’t sure where I fit. Yesterday made it clear exactly where my work begins. Each and every session served a different purpose, and if you missed it, you truly missed something meaningful. Over these four days, lifelong connections were made — all moving with the same purpose.

From the Renasant to the Slim Collaboratory House for the final reception and karaoke, every moment carried intention, energy, and community.

Serving on the Host Committee was truly a pleasure. Thank you to the creators of this initiative and the sponsors of the Summit for making this experience possible. Your vision and investment created a space for clarity, connection, and purpose.

After a full day of learning and engagement at the 2026 Creative Placemaking Summit, the evening reception was the perfect close — beginning at the Renasant, moving through Northside Redevelopment, and ending at Stax for a relaxing night of conversation and connection with people from across the globe.
