It is with great sadness to learn of the passing of Mike Lee, President of ACRE. It’s is such a great loss for the Memphis Retirees and Widows! He fought diligently to restore the Healthcare Benefits that were taken from the City of Memphis Retirees. Thank you for your service not only as a representative of the retirees but as a commissioned office of the City of Memphis Police Dept. Prayers lifted for all his family, friends and his family of the Blue & Red Thin Line!🖤💙❤️🖤

Mike Lee, a Memphis Police Department veteran and champion for the rights and benefits of retirees has died at the age of 76.

Today we honor two Fallen Firefighters on the 18th Anniversary of one of Memphis’s deadliest arson fires. Lt. Trent A. Kirk and Private Charles Zachary, lost their lives battling a fire on Father’s Day, June 15, 2003, at the Family Dollar on North Watkins. Join us as we remember these Fallen Heroes and the Heroes They Left Behind and pray for continuous strength for these families to survive their tragic loss.

A Sea of Blue is planned for Thursday evening beginning around 7:30 p.m., according to family members.

Dear Heavenly Father, We come to you with such a sadden heart of the loss of one of our own beloved MPD officer, no police officer leaves home without the fear of not returning at the end of their watch. It is a fear that is lived daily.

You taught us that love was about sacrifice, virtue, and service. We thank you for the courage and valor that called Officer Scotty Triplett each day to serve his community. We ask that you bless and keep the hearts and souls of this family as they mourn the loss of their HERO last night in the line of duty. We ask you to comfort his wife Fran , his two precious children, family, friends and brothers and sisters in Blue in this time of great sorrow.. We ask that you wipe every tear from their eyes, Lord. Help them to heal and to move forward in a way that honors his memory. Lord give us the strength, as a family of first responders to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as they move toward on their journey of immense loss. We know from your word that your child has been taken to his eternal heavenly home and pray this will bring peace and comfort for this family that one day they will be reunited. We lift “The Heroes Left Behind” up in prayer to you today.
Soothe their pain and bind up their wounds through the wounds of Your beloved Son, Jesus. Amen.
