Here am I; SEND ME.

It’s not just a slogan.
It’s a promise we made.

A promise to show up when it’s hard.
A promise to fight for families when the system feels impossible.
A promise to stand in the gap for people who are trying to rebuild their lives.

The last couple weeks have been heavy. They have been hard. Emotional. Heart wrenching.

We’ve been actively working with DCS to help prevent parents from losing their children. We’ve been walking alongside parents who have already lost their kids, helping them find the resources, stability, and support they need to get them back. We have been temporarily fostering kids while their parents get help.

This work isn’t pretty.
It’s not always celebrated.
It’s hard, messy, emotional, and exhausting.

But it matters.

Because behind every case is a mom trying.
A dad fighting.
A child waiting.
A family that deserves a chance to heal.

So when we say, “Send me,” we mean it.

Send us to the hard places.
Send us to the broken places.
Send us to the families everyone else has written off.

We’ll go.

A bag won’t change a life.

But what’s inside it might.

We’re launching Outreach Bags during our op. A simple drawstring bags filled with essentials, resource information, encouragement, and a reminder that someone still sees their worth.

A bottle of water.
A snack.
Hygiene items.
Resource cards.
Hope.

For someone sleeping in their car, battling addiction, escaping exploitation, or simply trying to survive another day, that bag may be the first sign that somebody cares.

We’re raising funds now to build our first round of Outreach Bags.

It takes a village to fight monsters. 🤝

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at what We Fight Monsters has been building this spring.

From collaborations with Our Rescue & HeroWorks, to serving families through Hood-Mart, organizing donations, attending outreach events, and even exploring a potential new space for the nonprofit — we’ve been working nonstop to create real impact, spread awareness, and bring hope to people who need it most.

We’re proud to stand alongside incredible community partners as we continue fighting addiction, trafficking, and the mental health crisis affecting so many people around us. But this mission is bigger than any one organization, and we’re always looking for more people willing to join the fight. Real change happens when communities and people who care come together.

WFM had an amazing time attending the Shelby County Mental Health Town Hall today. The room was filled with counselors, child service advocates, survivor support organizations, mental health professionals, and community leaders all united by one shared goal: creating a healthier, stronger Memphis.

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to listen to powerful panel discussions, gather resources, and connect with so many organizations doing meaningful work throughout our city. Events like this are a reminder that mental health advocacy is not a one-person effort — it takes collaboration, compassion, and an entire community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this conversation possible and to those working every day to support healing, recovery, and hope across Memphis and beyond. đź’š

Every sparrow deserves a soft place to land.

For so many people escaping trafficking, abuse, or domestic violence, true safety is something they’ve rarely been allowed to feel. But a safe home changes everything. It is the bridge between just getting through the day and finally beginning to heal.

That’s why we created Sparrow House.
It’s more than just a roof and four walls. It’s a place where someone can finally take a deep breath and sleep through the night without fear. It's a place to rebuild your life on your own terms.

The need for these spaces is growing every day. We are working to open more safe homes because no one should have to wonder if they will survive the night, or if anyone is looking out for them.

Today we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to others.

At We Fight Monsters, we believe honoring sacrifice also means showing up for the people still fighting battles here at home — veterans, survivors, people battling addiction, trauma, homelessness, and hopelessness.

This Memorial Day, we want to do more than post a graphic. We want to raise $1,000 to directly support outreach efforts here in Memphis and continue providing resources, recovery support, meals, and community to people who need it most.
