In order to encourage solid voter turnout on Election Day, August 6, several organizations in Memphis are collaborating to provide free rides to the polls.
The organizations that are coordinating this effort are the NAACP, Shelby County Voter Alliance, and the Black Clergy Collaborative.
If you are in need of a ride to the polls......
1. Confirm your polling location to communicate to the person who will be arranging your ride.
2. If possible, take a friend or neighbor who goes to the same polling location to get the best impact.
3. Call 901-521-1343 which is the NAACP offices. They have graciously agreed to coordinate this service.
4. Be patient as many people may take advantage of this offer.
5. Vote, yall!
