G.I.R.L. Empowerment is inviting you to join me and others on Saturday, June 1 at Rhodes College for the annual National Kidney Foundation Walk. We will be walking with “The Rolling Kidney Stones.” This is one of the easiest and prettiest ways to raise money for a worthy organization, the National Kidney Foundation of West Tennessee. We all probably know someone who has suffered or does suffer from kidney disease and some of us know others who have been recipients of kidneys and even some who have been donors.
Kidney disease is very common and touches people of all ages in all demographic groups. I urge you to consider joining our team...The Rolling Kidney Stones and if you are unable to be with us on June 1, then to please consider a donation.
You may either call the office at 901.683.6185 or you may register or donate online: www.kidneywalk.org (select state/ TN , 2013 Memphis walk, create a user name and password for privacy, and register to join “The Rolling Kidney Stones” or to donate to the team , if unable to attend.)
The walk (yes, walk...no running required) begins at 9:00 a.m. Meet in the gym on the campus of Rhodes College. You may also register that morning starting at 8am, but early registrations are encouraged.
*** If you are representing GIRL we will have the roster there @ 8am and we ask all parents to have your student there @ 8am.****
If you have questions, you may contact me, Wanda Royston 901-691-9242.
Thanks for your consideration and support and we hope to see you there.
